Edwina O'Brien and Kevin Hennessy re-elected as Trustees

When nominations closed today at 12 noon (Friday 14 August 2015) for the Eastern Bay Energy Trust election, a total of two nominations had been received: one for the Kawerau District Council area (for one vacancy), and one for the Opotiki District Council area (for one vacancy).

The two nominations are from incumbent trustees Kevin Hennessy and Edwina O’Brien.

Both candidates are therefore declared elected unopposed.

The Trust has a total of six trustees, including four elected and two appointed trustees. Of the four elected trustees, two are from the Whakatane District Council/Kaingaroa Village area, one from the Kawerau District Council area and one from the Opotiki District Council area.

A physical postal ballot (which was to close Thursday 1 October 2015) will now not be required.
